The Liverpool Echo reported that a 75-year-old Red Army veteran will not be able to travel to the scene due to the cancellation of the flight to Kiev.
The name of the fan is Ernie Ashley. Every time the team broke into the Champions League final, he went to the scene to watch. After the flight to Kiev was cancelled, Ashley shed tears of sadness.
Ashley is from Woolton, England and has supported Liverpool for 68 years. Tonight's game will have been his 13th Champions League final, and now he said he will listen to the game on the radio alone.
He said: "I will turn on the radio, I feel empty. I am very sad, I have a ticket in my hand, and many young people have not got a ticket."
"I will live until the next time Klopp leads the finals. This is the most important thing."
