Looking at the export of ferroalloy in the past five years, the export volume in 2013-2017 is in a volatile situation. In 2017, the export value and the export volume in 2014 reached the highest value. In 2017, the export volume was 576,436.5 tons. In 2014, the export value reached 1,222,045.4 thousand U.S. dollars.

In terms of ferroalloy imports, the import volume of ferroalloy in 2017 was up by volume. In 2017, China imported 4163174.3 tons of ferroalloy, an increase of 3.8% over the same period of previous year; the annual import amount was 6490650 thousand U.S. dollars, increasing by 42.9% over the same period of last year. Looking at the ferro-alloys imports from 2013 to 2017 in China, the import volume increased for five consecutive years.

Judging from the provinces and municipalities, the top ten provinces and cities in the export of ferroalloy in China in 2017 are Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Qinghai, Liaoning, Henan, Jiangsu, Yunnan, Tianjin, Shaanxi and Hubei respectively. Among them, Zhejiang topped the list with an annual output of 149,671.2 tons of ferroalloy and an export value of 183 million U.S. dollars.

Judging from the provinces and municipalities, the top ten provinces and cities importing ferroalloy in 2017 are Fujian, Jiangsu, Guangdong, Guangxi, Shanxi, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Gansu, Liaoning and Tianjin respectively. Ranked first in Guangdong, Guangdong Province in 2017 imported 3494.7 tons of ferroalloy, with an import volume of 75.234 million U.S. dollars.
